چکیده

The rapid emergence of XML as a standard for data representation and exchange over the Web has sparked considerable interest in models and efficient mechanisms for controlled access, especially using queries, to information represented in XML (see, e.g., [3,5-7,ll-13,311). A naive approach to secure XML query evaluation is: (i) compute the query result without consideration of any security policy, and (ii) filter the query result using the access control policies in a post-processing step. While this approach may appear attractive, it's not secure. For example, consider the XML database with its DTD illustrated in Figure 1, which has information about items and customer accounts. Assume that a specific user is allowed access to the item (book and s o f t w a r e ) information but not to any account information. If only query results are filtered for accessibility, then the following XQuery path expression:

Apply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML

As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

Algebra-based identification of tree patterns in XQuery

Query processing performance in XML databases can be greatly enhanced by the usage of materialized views whose content has been stored in the database. This requires a method for identifying query subexpressions matching the views, a process known as view-based query rewriting. This process is quite complex for relational databases, and all the more daunting on XML databases. Current XML materi...

Efficient Evaluation of Nearest Common Ancestor in XML Twig Queries Using Tree-Unaware RDBMS

Finding all occurrences of a twig pattern in a database is a core operation in XML query processing. Recent study showed that tree-aware relational framework significantly outperform tree-unaware approaches in evaluating structural relationships in XML twig queries. In this paper, we present an efficient strategy to evaluate a specific class of structural relationship called NCA-twiglet in a tr...

Managing XML Data to optimize Performance into Object-Relational Databases

This paper propose some possibilities for manage XML data in order to optimize performance into object-relational databases. It is detailed the possibility of storing XML data into such databases, using for exemplification an Oracle database and there are tested some optimizing techniques of the queries over XMLType tables, like indexing and partitioning tables.
